Transition Year raise vital funds for Focus Ireland

On the 1st of March this year, Scoil Ruain’s TY year have performed a sleep out in the aid of Focus Ireland, a charity dedicated to supporting the homeless of which there are nearly 10,000 people reported as such (as of November 2018). The students have collected money for the event through sponsorships all of which will be donated to the cause, they camped out between the hours of 8pm on the 1st and 8am on the 2nd underneath the outer roof of the Main Guard in Clonmel. The number of homeless families has increased by 13% in the past year one in three people in emergency accommodation is under the age of 18. It is good to see that the Scoil Ruain TY year is helping to raise money and awareness for such a righteous cause.
