Of the 67 TY students 62 attended the trip away. This was our 2nd trip of the year and as always, all students were Covid-19 compliant at all times wearing their masks on the buses and in the café.  We went to Dungarvan to Greenway cycles for the bike hire. Each student was measured for the bicycle and helmet that best suited them.  Mr. O Dwyer took the lead along with our budding Tour de France participants and Ms. Breen and Mrs. Tobin took care of everyone else!!!  Despite an early puncture and a slight miscalculation of speed ability everyone managed to get from Dungarvan to Kilmacthomas in one piece.  The sun was glorious, the company was wonderful, many students surpassed their expectations of themselves, and friendships were formed along the way.  After a pre ordered lunch in the Greenway café in Kilmacthomas w headed to Clonea for some fun on the beach, given that we were out for the day we decided to make the most of the fine weather.  Sadly 15 minutes into our beach time the heavens opened and we had to race to the shelter of the bus!!!!.  After that there was nothing else for it but to head for home.  It was a really enjoyable day, spent in the fresh air, exercising both body and mind. Cannot recommend the Greenway cycles enough and the café was a lovely finish to our part of the Greenway. Definitely one to try with your own family.
