Congratulations to Katie Riordan

Congratulations to Katie Riordan

We are very proud of Katie Riordan, a Fifth Year English student in our school. She was awarded the overall prize in the national creative writing competition run by the GAA Museum. Katie’s entry The Credit of Knocknagow beat hundreds of entries from all over Ireland. The judging panel included writer and journalist Paul Howard, Sean Love from Fighting Words and journalist Cliona Foley. Katie will be presented her prize in Croke Park by GAA President John Horan. Katie, two of her family members and her teacher Ms. Coote have been invited to attend a winner’s lunch and stadium tour in the near future.
