Chloe’s own account of the walk
I organised a sponsored walk on the 11th of November 2019. It was part of my LCA Social Education task. I chose to raise money for the charity down syndrome Ireland – it is a great charity that is close to my heart. I raised 175 .00 altogether. This charity helps to make a difference in people’s lives and that is what so great about it.
For the walk I had 5 stewards – Mr White , Ms. Gubbins, Ms. O’Donnell, Ms. Coffey and myself. I brought the first years and some 5th years (Sophie, Amy and Chloe) and L.C.A 1&2. Everyone brought 2 euro which I collected to give to Down Syndrome Ireland. We did the trail around Monslatt and came back around to Killenaule. Aoife Quinn and Eoin, Jack and Daisy Fitzgerald came in from Down Syndrome Ireland to collect the cheque. My aunt Theresa Ivers and her little daughter Isabelle also came in. I was so proud to present the cheque to them.
